Urgh, I am so behind on this! So I'm posting three days at once here:

Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite TV show
see this post for my top ten DW episodes. Nr one is still Doomsday, because of its emotional impact, because it made me ship D/R so very hard and because it's just so utterly Who.

Day 07 - Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show
Well, there are quite a lot of episodes I didn't like very much. But I'd have to go with The Next Doctor. The huge CyberKing walking over Victorian London was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen, and the whole episode was unremarkable. But I choose this especially because it was one of only 3 specials we got between S4 and the final, and it just wasn't enough.


Day 08 - A show everyone should watch
Obviously, I think all shows I watch are worth recommending. But if I have to choose one, I'm recommending Merlin. Simply because it is a perfect show to just watch without big expectations. It certainly has its faults, but it is very enjoyable television, and all the characters and actors are awesome!

Also, though it's not a tv show, I urge everyone who hasn't yet to go and watch A Very Potter Musical on youtube. It's on my mind because the sequel is being performed this week. If you're into Harry Potter, you probably know about it already. But in short: it is a fan-made (but with people who are actually decent at singing and acting!) musical parody, and has been posted completly on youtube. It is very funny, the songs are catchy and you will love it. Like I do!


Next: drive-by reaction post on Amy's Choice




- That was so so good! While last week's ep was the first one that felt like my Doctor Who, this one is the first one that felt like good Doctor Who. I always love it when they don't follow the traditional formula! (=arriving on a planet - oh no, alien invasion)

- I am finally feeling like I am starting to get Amy. Until now, we haven't seen a lot of who she is (except in the first ep), and now I really feel like I'l starting to genuinely like her.

- RORY!! If it were up to me, he'd stay forever. I love it when the Doctor/Companion vibe changes, and I love that even though he wants to get married and settle down, he doesn't seem to mind travelling around for a while first.

- Finally some development of the Amy/Rory thing. I was afraid they'd leave it at the awkward end of last week's ep, but I loved them together this time! And I believed Amy's realisation. I don't think it's strange for it to only come at that moment, and I can only hope they can be happy together. (wow that sounds sappy :o)

- I kind of like the Dream Lord (but then I like the actor, I think that helps). I do hope that we see some more of him, because while I loved the revelation at the end, it felt like there is room for more there.

- Next week looks...terrible :S I am only excited because Rory is still there. And it's a two-parter isn't it? Oh, Chris Chibnall, I so do NOT have faith in you. I hope he manages to surprise me...

I'm making a mental note for the Potter Musical because ... I haven't seen it yet, even though I call myself a Potter fan XD

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU ON THE RIDICULOUSNESS OF THE NEXT DOCTOR. Man, I thought that was bad.

Owww, no! I was kind of looking forward to next week, but I didn't know it was Chibnall's. I still think of 42 as one of the worst Who episodes ... I hope he doesn't disappoint this time :|

You know, I just realized something - Amy tells the Doctor that she never told Rory she loved him...and yet they were about to get married anyway? Doesn't that strike you as a bit...off?

Mhmm...I forgot about Doomsday. You're right about the emotional impact - I don't think I've watched it a second time because I just can't bear watching them be separated. In fact, when I was catching up on Who, I skipped this episode, because I just couldn't deal with it. Lol.

The Next Doctor was kinda...meh. I don't think it's my least favorite, though - that award probably goes to Love and Monsters.

Hmm...Merlin, really? For me, Merlin and Legend of the Seeker are kind of the same level - I enjoy watching them, but I never really get into it. I mean, I like Merlin. But Arthur just kind of irritates me too much. And, also, the Dragon just mystifies me.

I think I'm not enough of a Harry Potter fangirl - sequel? Really? This week?

Also, Vampires of Venice also left me stumped as to who Amy was. It was also just kind of a weird episode that didn't make much sense. But yeah - this episode was fantastic - really cemented my love of Eleven. :)

I think maybe she didn't tell him she loved him...since she started travelling with the Doctor? Though in that dream, they were already married so I don't think it makes sense...

I did think of Love and Monsters, but it has some things I like, - like the development of Jackie - whereas The Next Doctor is just one pile of disappointment and terribleness.

Yeah, Merlin...The first time I watched it, I really enjoyed it(on a superficial level - the writing is too bad to really get involved) but I don't really have the urge to go and rewatch it. But it's a show I tend to recommend to people who are looking for something simple and fun.

The AVPM sequel is being performed this week but it isn't on youtube until July, I think.

I loved Vampires of Venice, but Amy didn't really get developed in it. I liked Rory in it, and I sort of think it showed us all the problems the Amy/Rory/Doctor dynamic had, so they cold kind of be dealt with this week?

Oh god, I didn't know it was a Chibnall episode...uhh now I am a lot less enthusiastic about it, from a place where I was only really enthusiastic because they've got Silurians.

I loved the episode too, Rory makes me so happy! And although I've always quite liked Amy (I am very accepting of characters to be honest - there has been a lot of complaining over how she's not developed much and is really arrogant and I just keep going 'hmm, never noticed that. I suppose she is in a way...ooh new episode, shiny!' and moving on. Which...is both good and bad I think.

I really hope Rory sticks around for ages, I absolutely love him. When he cut off his ponytail for Amy...oh bless him. The Dream Lord was also awesome and I do hope he comes back occasionally to haunt the Doctor.

Ohh I had forgotten how soon it was until the new AVPM! Ah now you have made me all excited... :D :D

I understand what people were saying about Amy, but it didn't really bother me. But I am getting to like her more now, so I think I did notice it subconsciously?

I am also excited for the AVPM sequel, but now it seems a really long wait until July!
