I. I've had two exams so far. The first one went okay, I think. But today's was terrible. I was hoping I wouldn't have resits this year but it doesn't look like it'll happen :(. The course is just really not my thing (it's about varieties of English and SO boring), and the exam was hellish. He asked ridiculous questions and just... I tried to write lots of stuff down, but most of the time I didn't even know what was meant by a question so I'm not very hopeful here.
My third and last exam is in a week. It's Modernism, which is luckily a lot more interesting, but I have to do a lot of reading (mostly academic papers, yuk). I'm starting tomorrow because today I just want to SLEEP.
II. Comment to this post with "ICON ME!" and I'll give you five icons to talk/squee over.
Got these from

I love this moment in Firefly - the first time Mal and Zoe coma aboard Serenity, inOut of Gas. And I really like the colours in this and the composition. It gets the feel of the show; all sandy and gold.

I recently saved a bunch of BtVS icons because I'm really into that show atm. I love Spike, I think he is a great character and I think he's hot. And never more so than in the punk!flashback. Guh. :). I love icons like this, just simple and textless. I mean, that image just doesn't need text next to it.

I originally uploaded this over a year ago (wow.) because I wanted an angsty DW icon. Again, I like how simple it is (I love an icon with a character looking away).

Again, so pretty, simple, and with looking down. I don't post much about Merlin anymore, but it'll be a long time before I get rid of this one. Katie McGrath is ridicuously beautiful, and these colours are lovely.

This was my default for the longest time (only changed a few weeks ago). It's from my favourite move - The Painted Veil, and one of the only good icons of it I managed to find. Again, I love the colours of it, and the contrast of the couple in the boat versus the mountains. One of the reasons I love that movie is because of how gorgeous the landscape is, and how well it's used. It's also a sweet moment between those two characters in the story.
III. Buffy meme: Least Favourite Male Character
Andrew. He annoys me. I know he's supposed to be kind of annoying, but I'm guessing in an endearing way or something? I don't know, but it doesn't work for me. I didn't like the geek trio as a whole when they were supposed to be funny with a few exceptions like the James Bond discussion (I did like it when they were scary, and I didn't mind them as sort-of villans). And Andrew was basically just another reason that season 7 was disappointing.

Date: 2011-01-20 17:45 (UTC)The second one *hugs* I remember feeling that way about Germanic and just going 'WTF?' at the exam. I hope that you do manage to pass (I don't think that he corrects very harshly?) and that you don't have to do resits.
Also, did you see the facebook message? Appearently our grades for Opvoeringsanalyse are on blackboard atm. I looked up mine, I barely passed, I'll have a 10 when the official grades come out. You know why? Because he gave me a nine for my creative assignment? WTF? How can you fail someone on a completely subjective basis?
ANYWAY! Lovely, lovely icons. I usually like a bit of lines with mine, but I can see why you love these icons so much.
On the Buffy thing: I can vaguely remember who Andrew is... Is he the guy that tried to commit suicide in the episode where Buffy reads minds?

Date: 2011-01-20 18:05 (UTC)No, the guy trying to kill himself was Jonathan (another of the geek trio). Andrew was the blonde one who sort of got ~redeemed in S7 and hung around being annoying.
