Day 14 - Your favourite Male character

This took me a while. There are a lot of great male characters out there that I love (And its a good thing this is only about tv characters). I thought about these:

- The Doctor (But somehow, though I love him, I've always been slightly more attached to the companions)

- Malcolm Reynolds (greates antihero ever imho. You never know what he'll do next)

- Logan Echolls (because he was so fantastically snarky and mean and had some of the best lines ever on television)

- Sebastian Flyte (just because. I have always loved him and his destructiveness - talking about the miniseries version, of course. I read the book with him in my head, anyway. (if you don't know who this is, wait 'til Day 17 xD))

But eventually, maybe because I watched an AtA dubble bill last night or because of all the reaction posts about the final that I'm ignoring, or maybe just because he is awesome:

Gene Hunt

Okay, so my feminist self just crept into a corner to bang her head against a wall ;) But Gene Hunt is the best and funniest television character I've seen in the past few years. He has the best lines ever, and Philip Glenister just brings him to life so vividly, yet somehow he isn't quite a caricature. Not all the time, anyway xD
It's almost impossible to describe him, or what makes him so awesome, but anyone who's seen Life on Mars or Ashes to Ashes knows what I mean.

I am going to miss him so much when I finish Ashes to Ashes...
