All you had to do was take my hand
Do you know how hard it is to try to study grammar instead of reading Harry Potter fic, and then your syllabus uses EXAMPLES OUT OF HARRY POTTER? I dragged myself away from the internet, studied a few pages and then it goes "on a flying motorbike"... Which makes me want to read about Sirius in a leather jacket taking Remus out for a spin and and :((
So because I didn't study as hard as I should have, and because Grammar sucks, I just totally failed it. Bah.
On to happier things:
Day 21: Favourite ship

Doctor/Rose is the reason I got an Lj, and got really involved in fandom. It's from my favourite show, which doesn't hurt of course. I'm not really that passionate about them anymore because in canon their story has been told and I've read just about every kind of story fanfiction has to offer. But they're still very special to me, and I can get quite defensive when people bash them (or Rose in particular), which does happen a lot when I venture outside my safe flist zone.
They're certainly my nr 1 tv OTP. I have a hard time explaining why exactly - at least in a few sentences, I could probably write an essay on it :p. But I think it's because of how they were clearly in love but without the angst and the UST, especially Ten and Rose just had fun. And most of all because they were tragically separated. It really took them being torn apart for me to ship it.
Vincent and the Doctor reaction:
Really loved it! This season is just full of ups and downs. I didn't like the first few episodes, then I loved Vampires in Venice and Amy's Choice, then I hated the Chibnall twoparter and now I love this one.
- It was written by Richard Curtis, and I don't think it's a coincidence that his romcoms are the only ones I really like (most of them anyway). The focus didn't seem to be on the monster at all, but it was appropriately funny, disgusting and ~lonely for a DW villan.
- I really liked Van Gogh! It's pretty hard to make me care for a character in 40 minutes, but I did, and almost cried at the end.
- "Right, Amy, Rory." was so sad! I love that they included that little moment, and that they showed that Eleven really feels bad for Amy - even if she doesn't know what happened.
- Bill Nighy was, as expected, only there for a little while. But what a great little while! Honestly, he could just stand in a corner doing nothing and I would still love him.
- I love Eleven more every episode. He is so adorable and such a dorky dad-figure. :DD
- Amy looked pretty, but once again she didn't seem to be doing much. But at least we got to see her compassionate side.
- Next time is apparently Amy-lite but still has the Doctor? Or something? Well, it looks okay.
