Torchwood Children of Earth Day One

I actually liked it! Of course, expectations were low, but I never expected to be this excited about it.

The bits with the official people was maybe a bit boring, but at least I didn't get the urge to hit fastforward...

The Children did creep me out. Especially the <i> BACK </i> part at the end. And they actually adressed the ridiculousness of the whole world speaking English. /o\

I liked all the character development. Ianto being straight-with-a-weakness-for-Jack, Jack is a dad, Gwen and Rhys going househunting (And Rhys completly accepting that she has to work), Gwen being PREGNANT :) I'm not sure how she plans to make a kid work with that job, but it's still sweet. And the "couple" thing... SO SWEEt :D

I also like most of the other characters, especially the slightly crazy guy, MacDonald I think?, who can smell if someone's lying or pregnant. lol.
And I really liked the doctor (almost put a capital there XD). I was expecting him to be the Owen-replacement, but apparently not.

I am very excited about the next episodes. The trailer looked good. Although, that flash of the scary red thing? PLEASE TELL ME THAT'S NOT JACK!!!11!!!!
Look at that, it's so good it's reduced me to capslock. XD

I hope there is a 4th seasonn, if they can keep up this quality and if RTD writes the episodes. I'm not even going to try the forums, I know they're never going to like the man. But I think he did another great job mixing plot and characters.
Also, I've recently been expanding my ship-horizons. And am now enjoying Remus/Sirius fic very much indeed. There was a Love Post a couple of days ago, which has resulted in a VERY big rec list on this link: imochan.livejournal.com/299245.html
It is going to take my whole summer to read through that, lol. And I should really study at SOME point.
