Tomorrow all our troubles will be miles away
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!
I. I celebrated last night. It was fun. I got all dressed up and had a nice dinner, we watched i> Meet me in Saint-Louis (which is THE Christmas movie for me, I've loved it for as long as I can remember).
And I got PRESENTS :D A new bag, and the dvd's of Sherlock (wasn't expecting that, but a great surprise!), and FIREFLY! I can't tell you how happy I am :D Now I'll get to listen to the dvd commentaries like the geek that I am :DD
And while we're kind of on the subject: Meme! (Do you know that a year ago, I'd only seen Dr. Horrible? 2010 will go down in my personal history as "the Whedon year")
II. Day three: Your favourite song used in an episode
Goodbye to you by Michelle Branch, as seen in the final montage in Tabula Rasa (6x08). Youtube disappoints me by not having a clip of this.
Anyway, BtVS has a lot of songs, most of them crappy, and I remember none of them. Except for this one, because while it is indeed cheesy, it works. We've just seen a pretty hilarious episode. And now we are seeing some of the most heartbreaking moments of the show: Giles is leaving and Tara is moving out. It's one of m favourite parts ever on this show. And it just made me cry, okay. A LOT. And a lot of that is down to the choice of song. (and Allyson Hannigan's face. Who can look at her crying and not start? HONESTLY)
And this scene also has the prettiest Spike/Buffy kiss ever. Just as a sidenote ;).
III.ETA: And in an effort to represent ALL Whedon shows IN ONE POST (except Dollhouse, cause I haven't actually seen that yet): I've just finished Shell on Angel. And can I just say that for a show that I don't like that much, it sure manages to make me cry a LOT .
A Hole in the World was SO SAD omg. And this one less so, but I still cried. Dammit. (Not to mention You're Welcome a while back. That one may have been even worse.)

I can't actually remember the song or the sequence of Tabula Rasa... and even though you told me that it wasn't available, I did try to look it up on youtube. Am very disappointed that indeed, I couldn't find it. *rolls eyes at self*
We had Christmas dinner today at my brother's house, we started today at 13.00 and we went home at 19.50 and I must say that most of that time we were eating. IT WAS JUST SO GOOD! *clutches chocolate cake*

That's a long time to be eating! But yeah, I made tiramisu yesterday and I totally ate too much of that as well. It's just that time of year!

Also totally with you in only seeing Dr Horrible a year ago! Now I feel all Whedon-y! (Although I have only seen up to mid-series 3 of Buffy still, and not any of Dollhouse and my copy of Serenity is stuck in snow somewhere. BUT STILL. Much Whedon this year!)
Happy Christmas!

andddddd that Goodbye to You montage really makes me cry too :( the one thing is, I really really dislike Spuffy together XD so that kind of ruins it for me.
Also? 2010? Whedon Year? Sounds awesome.XD
anddddd yes a Hole in the world omg... the one that made me cried the most is 'Hero'.
glad you had a good Christmas!

Well, I do like Spuffy (in a way. sometimes. I like that kiss a lot, anyway. It's the way they cling to each other.)

Oooh, is Sherlock already out on DVD over here? Or is it the UK version?

How was your Christmas? Got any good presents?

My Christmas was good, yeah :) And yes, I got amazing presents! I got a couple of DVDs, a scarf/hood combo thingie, an art book and some other cute things :D I'm going to to try and take a couple of pictures of all the stuff and post them on my LJ.
