lalala subject line... I suck at these

I. I finished with my rewatch of Veronica Mars season 1 yesterday.

• Veronica and Logan had even less episodes together than I remembered :( I need MORE CUTENESS dammit. But even though I know all their kissing/... scenes I still squee a LOT over them. 
• Still my favourite first kiss ever. The music and the epic panning out and the look on Logan's face.
• I think I'm kind of okay with Veronica/Duncan, as well. I used to hate them because they were portrayed as the biig ~true love, but knowing he disappears later on makes me okay with the S2 romance I know is coming. But I still wish L and V would have had more episodes together!
• I love both Veronica/Weevil and Veronica/Wallace for being such good and interesting couples without any hint of romantic feelings. 
• I knew perfectly well Aaron was in the car and I still  jumped. 
• I still love the whole murder mystery. I love how you kind of suspect just about everyone thorughout the series, but it doesn't feel like a cop-out at all to find out who did it. And in retrospect, it isn't very obviousl forshadowed either.
• Veronica: "Hi, Beaver"  Beaver: "My name is Cassidy"   - FORESHADOWING, WHAT :D Seriously, that moment creeped me out knowing what's to come. 

II. Buffy meme Day 6: Favourite Male character

Pretty surprising, probably, but:Oz. 

Mostly because all the other male characters went through a period where I vehemently disliked them, or was disappointed in the writing for them. For instance, I love Giles, but I am massively disappointed in him on several occasions. And while I love Spike very much, I also think the way his character was developed was so messy and illogical that I am not naming him my favourite character just out of spite.

Oz, on the other hand, didn't really stick around for long enough to disappoint me (though the Veruca storyline wasn't my favourite). He was always funny and cool, he and Willow were amazingly sweet, and he often seemed like the sanest person in the bunch. And when he left I cried buckets :(.

i like your choice of Oz as fave male character! you're absolutely right that all the other male characters sorta disappoint at a certain point (i pretty much share your thoughts on both Giles and Spike XD)

Oz is underrated! Though I have the suspicion that if he'd stayed, he would have become less awesome as well. But seriously, I have seen people complain he's 'not a real character', which I very much disagree on.

I'm doing a Veronica Mars rewatch too! I'm totally stalled though because I had to stop during finals week and I was up to "A Trip To the Dentist," which isn't exactly an episode that I'm looking forward to.

OMG I KNOW. God, it's like he's looking into her soul. I have never wanted to be Veronica more in my life than in that moment.

Ahhh, I totally forgot about that! I still think that the whole Beaver Is A Mass-Murderer, Rapist, AND Mad Bomber All Before 18 reveal was stupid, but I do appreciate that little bit of foreshadowing.

I love 'A Trip to the Dentist', even though (or more likely, because) it's such an emotional roller-coaster. Have fun with that rewatch!

Yeah, I love the S2 reveal, but it turning out that Cassidy did everything, ever was a bit...much. Still, the roof scene is so good! And you know, heart wrenching as well. I'm looking forward to watching S2 again.

I so agree with Spike! But I'm curious, where/why did Giles dissappoint you?

And Veronica/Wallace is so underrated. I always loved their friendship<3 I was always meh about Duncan, I wonder how I'll feel if I'd rewatch, too.

I am disappointed in Giles mainly in S6, for leaving for no good reason at all. I don't get why he would take off at that time. And I disliked just about everyone's 'development' or lack thereof in S7, including his.

I used to really dislike Duncan, and now I'm 'meh' about him as well. He's alright, but he's not meant to be with Veronica, and he's no Logan.

oh, that, yeah, that struck me as weird, too. hm. you're right.
I loved Dawn in s7. But I'm probably one of the few that actually liked Dawn. XD


Duncan's just boring. XD

I love Dawn as well! And she's one of the only characters in S7 I can stand, you're right.
