I.I am watching Parks & Recreation because apparently everyone loves it. I'm at 2x03 I think? And kind of starting to like it. I did skip a few episodes in S1 hoping it would get better because I wasnt getting the vibe everyone else on the internet was getting from it.

Also still watching The West Wing. I'm at 3x14 now. Could someone tell me, is there a big difference in quality post-S4? I'll still watch it, but I don't want to be disappointed if it suddenly becomes a lot less awesome?
My opinions stay pretty much the same. Every single character is utterly awesome, CJ is my absolute favourite and all the others take turns for the second place. Right now, it's either Sam or Donna.
I am also aware that shipping Josh/Donna is the way to go, and I am good there. Because who am I, I could never resist a ship with that much bantering. There need to be more screwball-type romances on tv.

II. I think Doctor Who has an official rule saying every season should have a two-parter in the first half of the season, and this two-parter should involve some kind of military or scientific team, closed quarters, and generic aliens.
I therefore have the same reaction to this episode as I did to every similar one in the past seasons (with the possible exception of The Impossible Planet but I only like that one because of the Doctor/Rose): Meh. I thought it was pretty boring. Rory was pretty cool, I guess, but other than that I didn't get much from this.
Which is strange because I would expect much more brillianc from someone wha can create something like Life on Mars.

I. Things I want on my screen asap:

I. I'm still watching The West Wing and genuinly enjoying it a lot. I'm almost finished with S2 now. I love all the characters a lot and feel very guilty that in my first post I called Sam boring because I love him and he is adorable and funny, actually. CJ is consistently my favourite, and I really enjoy the Josh/Donna banter and Toby being unhappy all the time. And Ainsley Hayes is awesome as well. I don't have much more to say on it, really.

II. I tried watching The Borgias but I didn't finish the first movie-length episode even though Cesare was great and I have an eternal affection for Jeremy Irons because of Brideshead Revisited despite the crazy and disturbing shit he sometimes says. I also JUST realised I hadn't included Brideshead in my intro post, which is a disgrace. So let it be noted it is one of my favourite things in the world. (miniseries mostly, obviously also the novel, the movie less so).

Anyway, I think I may someday go back to The Borgias just because I am interested in the character of Chesare and in François Arnoud - but for now I'm holding off.

III. And this week in the category of LIFERUINERS WITH RIDICULOUS FACES WHO CANNOT POSSIBLE BE THIS ADORABLE ALL THE TIME:

- I watched Zombieland even though I hate horror movies, because it starred two of my favourite people. It was really good! The horror was over the top enough to not freak me out, and it was funny and a lot of fun. Someone's ear is in danger of having hair brushed over it is one of the most adorable lines ever in the world. Everyone should really watch this movie! It had zombie!Bill Murray! Woody Harrelson shoots zombies while riding a rollercoaster! Emma and Jesse are just as awesome and adorable as you would expect of them!

- And I FINALLY got to go see Never Let Me Go in the cinema (which is always awkward when you start bawling and then try to be subtle about it but then the bloody lights go on as soon as the credits start rolling and everyone sees what a sap you are). Anyway, it was everything I hoped it would be and more. Carey Mulligan was really great, and the girl they cast as her younger self had a freakish resemblance. Andrew Garfield pretty much had me grinning like a lunatic everytime he was on screen (when he wasn't making me bawl). I'm pretty sure many of you have seen it but if you haven't yet, watch this movie! If it's possible, because for some reason it is only showing in like 4 tiny cinema's in Belgium? It stars Keira Knightley and Spiderman AND had great reviews, programming people, what is your problem?
Also, my mum remarked that "that guy playing Tommy is kind of handsome, isn't he". YOU DON'T SAY. I love it when she likes things/people I have been fangirling over for months without realising it :P.

IV. I've also started making icons again, because Doctor Who was too pretty not to. It's keeping me entertained and this time I might actually post them :/. Maybe.

I. The Social Network fandom is taking over my LIFE. I didn't even like the movie that much! But then someone recced a fic and I read it and then another and another and this is getting into full blown obsessive territory.
It's like a mixture of it being quite a good movie, boys being tragic, and Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield being stupidly adorable. Seriously, though, their bromance is the best thing ever. And Andrew Garfield totally ships Eduardo/Mark (and Jesse/himself).

And now I spend my days reading ridiculous fic where Eduardo owns a bakery and it's all about muffins and pony-shaped cookies and SO ADORABLE. Why does this always happen to me.
This fandom is also one of those where RPF isn't looked down on as much (mostly because Jesse and Andrew keep talking about "how did you fall in love with me" and "I love him' and how great Jesse's face is). So idk, usually I'm really not that interested in RPF (I tried to read Bradley/Colin but it made me feel uncomfortable). So I tried again and there have been one or two fics I quite liked because they were really great. So not as anti-RPF as I thought.
I know I have people on my flist who love it and people who hate it, and I guess I'm kind of in the middle? In theory I don't like it at all, but sometimes there'll be a fic to change my mind.

II. I am boring. Nothing else is going on in my life :P. I have a lot of homework which I'm not doing because I prefer reading TSN fic. I've gotten my exam schedule and it's really bad, because I have three exams on three consecutive days :(. The Easter Holiday is basically going to be nothing but writing papers and studying. I hope I'm not as obsessed with this stupid fandom by then because it will not end well.

I'm also slowly still watching The West Wing - I'm at 1x11. I pretty much like all the characters (except possibly Mandy?) and I'm enjoying it.
And Downton Abbey is on belgian tv. I liked the first episode and I'm looking forward to the rest of it.

III. Mad Men got renewed! Yay! And without any cuts in the cast, thank god. I'm working on a big Mad Men post that will probably never be posted, but it is keeping me busy.

I. For some reason (possibly because I really liked the dialogue in The Social Network?) I decided to start watching The West Wing. I'm three episodes in and it's a lot better than I expected. I do think I'm not American enough to fully love it though. There are moments I think I should be feeling patriotic and obviously nothing is happening? :P

It's actually quite funny. And for a show that consists purely of people talking very fast while walking down corridors, it's not really all that boring.

Character-wise, so far I love CJ and think Sam is painfully boring. And everyone else is fun as well. But you know, only three episodes in so that may change.

I will keep you updated. It's not a show to really marathon so it may take years to finish.

II. For people who were interested in where my new username comes from: Have an incredibly bad and cheesy music video!
So yes, "Muneca Brava" was an Argentinian telenovella from 1999 which I really loved at one point and is more or less my first big tv obsession. The title very loosely translates as "fierce doll". I found it because the stars later did another telenovella together, "Sos Mi Vida (Martín & Monita)" which used to air on Belgian tv. That one is even cheesier.

The plot is: a young orphan girl comes to work as a maid in the house of a rich family of snobs, she and the son of the family fall in love. It then takes them over 200 episodes and a lot of shenanigans to get together properly. But the 2 leads are really pretty and I loved all that drama. Those things are really addictive, okay.
Aw, now I'm feeling all nostalgic watching these crappy videos.
