Hello! Again it's been ages since I posted. I'm just not around Lj that much lately :/. I do spend a lot of time on Tumblr so if you don't follow me yet, I am here.

I don't have that much to report :P. Summerfilmcollege was lots of fun as expected! We watched a lot of movies ranging from great to incomprihensible. My favourites were Letter to Three Wives, A Zed and Two Noughts by Greenaway and Carravagio (starring a Sean Bean who looked just like Jaime Lannister, making for some bizarre twists in my mind).

The last few weeks have not been very eventful. I should be studying but predictably am reading fic and tumblring instead. I plan to start tomorrow though.

Tv-wise I have watched the first episode of The Hour and it looks like a lot of fun (starring Romola Garai and Ben Whishaw so not much could go wrong to begin with. STUNNING PEOPLE).
I am very slowly watching Six Feet Under - I started weeks ago and have only seen about 6 episodes. So I'll post a reaction maybe when I finish S1.

The show of my heart atm is definitely Leverage which everybody should be watching already because it is stunning in characters, funniness and continuity.

I am still reading A Storm of Swords. Loving it lots more than CoK, and I can't wait to finish it :D

II.Meme because who am I and what is Lj for? :) My fandoms can be found HERE.

Awww, glad to hear het Zomerfilmcollege was fun :D And even better that that you discovered some great movies. I was sad I was too late to register. Maybe in two years. *crosses fingers*

The fandom I'm giving you is Mad Men XD

Aww, I didn't know you'd wanted to register! You could always do a COFIB weekend if you don't want to wait two years! There's one in November with a 'romantic comedy' theme that sounds like fun :)

Mad Men:
The first character I fell in love with: I think Betty. I always felt sorry for her and wanted to see her break out of her boring life.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Pete Campbell! He's a dick but SO AMUSING. And in the last season I kind of started to like him a little? :S
The character everyone else loves that I don't: I'm pretty sure I love all characters except Harry, and not having feelings on Harry isn't uncommon I think.
The character I love that everyone else hates: Betty, again. I admit that she did some bad things last season and she's not much of a mother but I do think she gets way too much hate. She's still one of my favourites because I feel she's pretty misunderstood a lot of the time. You try living with Don Draper for a decade and have nothing to do but be a housewife! :/
The character I used to love but don't any longer: Don is getting on my nerves. I still like him character-wise, but any sympathy I had for him went out the door a while ago.
The character I would shag anytime: In spite of the previous question...I'm only human. Don. It's the suit. But possible also Joan because Christina Hendricks makes sexual orientation invalid.
The character I'd want to be like: PEGGY. Queen of my heart. I love how much she has grown over the course of the show. It took me a while to warm up to her but she has become totally badass. From the not-so-main cast, Faye.
The character I'd slap: every.single.man. More women in this show should take Joan's example and smash the men over the head with a vase.
My five favorite characters: Betty, Peggy, Joan, Roger, Pete
My five least favorite characters: Harry, Duck, Sally, Henry Francis, Greg
My deep dark fandom secret: Uhm. I quite ship Roger/Joan even though he is an asshole like the rest of the men - I think they are cute together? I'm not ashamed of that though. :P

Hello! :)

I've been loving The Hour quite a bit! Romola Garai and Ben Whishaw are definitely stunning people. And oh god, A Storm of Swords. That's definitely my favorite book in that series. So much happens!

For the meme: Glee! Or Parks and Rec.

Yeah, I love how much is hapenning in SoS. CoK in comparison is really kind of boring...

I'm going with Glee for the meme because I tried Parks & rec but I can't find anything negative to say. I love all the characters :D
The first character I fell in love with: Rachel!
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Santana, whose arc last season was stunning and one of the only times in this show I got truly invested.
The character everyone else loves that I don't: Sue. She is a one-dimensional comicbook villain even if they sometimes try to give her depth. And I never find her funny at all. Never got what was so hilarious about her.
The character I love that everyone else hates: Glee fandom is big enough so pretty much every character gets both love and hate. But I'd say Rachel, who many people find annoying (and can be) but I always loved her.
The character I used to love but don't any longer: I seem to remember a short period at the very beginning where I was going along with the intended Rachel/Finn endgame and must thus have *shudder* liked Finn.
The character I would shag anytime: Puck.
The character I'd want to be like: Again, Rachel. I would love to have some of her ambition and I admire the way she goes 100 percent for her dreams.
The character I'd slap: I would bang Finn and Shue's heads together. Especially Finn though, I think Quinn especially has every reason to slap the guy a few times over. Can you tell how much I am NOT a fan of the guy? (I hope you don't happen to be a stan of his :P)
My five favorite characters: Rachel, Santana, Jesse, Kurt, Blaine
My five least favorite characters: Sue, Shuester, Finn, Artie, Holly
deep dark fandom secret: Haha, I think my deep dark Glee secret is that I keep watching the damn show and I have way too many opinions on it and get too involved because really I think it's a bad show except for the musical scenes and the ocasional storyline.

It took me awhile to get through CoK. I actually ended up going back and rereading all of GoT and then restarting CoK because I realized I hadn't really been paying very close attention to what was happening because I was just trying to get through it. I liked it much better the 2nd time, though. And I just raced through SoS. It is so good.

ah, your Glee answers are basically what mine would be. I'm definitely not a Finn stan! Will is my least favorite, but Finn definitely did a good job last season of jumping up to my 2nd least favorite spot. I am also tired of Sue. I did like her when the show started, but I feel like her character doesn't work with the show at all anymore (although I don't think I ever felt like she was one of the best things about the show, like a lot of people seemed to). I'm also glad Artie made one of your least favorites because he is definitely one of my least favorites. And my deep dark fandom secret is pretty much the same, haha. I recognize all the faults of the show, but I get super invested in it and like to talk about it a lot. Oh, and your five favorites are my five favorites. So yay! It's not very often that I find people who have the same Glee opinions as I do! :D

It's always great to find people with the same right opinions! :P
Yeah, I agree that Sue - while never seomeone I liked - really doesn't fit anymore. "Sue is trying to sabotage te club" is a plot we've SEEN tyvm.
I don't like Artie, no. My hate isn't on the same level as Finn and Shue but he's done plenty of inexcusable things.

Yay for the same favourites! Jesse/Rachel is my only Glee ship (and is second to Rachel/herself), though I like Kurt/Blaine and Santana/Brittany but I don't trust the writers to do things right so I don't get involved.

Yeah, I mean, I feel like Sue would work a little better if she had just stayed a background villain who has a few funny lines every other episode or so. It doesn't work when they try to humanize her and have her like... actually help the Glee club in the season 1 finale and then turn around and try to destroy them again in season 2. ...not that I'm shocked at the show ignoring continuity, but still.

That's how I feel about Artie as well. My hate definitely doesn't reach Finn or Will levels, but he has done a lot of things and said a lot of things that have pissed me off.

I ship Kurt/Blaine the most, but I think that's in part because it's one of the only storylines I actually somewhat trust the writers to handle well? I think they care more about them than any of the other pairings (although the show could certainly prove me wrong in season 3). I adore Jesse/Rachel, but I try to keep myself from shipping them too hard (although I'm frequently unsuccessful) because I just know this show is never going to do what I want it to do with them. And Santana/Brittany is definitely my 3rd favorite ship, but I do trust the writers less with them, so I haven't let myself get quite as invested.

Idk, I know Jesse/Rachel is never going to be what I want it to but somehow I don't mind because no matter what happens on the show, in my personal canon Rachel goes to Broadway, dumps Finn and reconnects with Jesse. So I don't need the writers :P
And I am very scared about Kurt/Blaine in S3 so I tried not to get too attached. The same goes for B/S.

Hey!
Glad to see you doing okay. I think procrastination is part and parcel of every study time. I have an annoying habit of discovering fandoms during exam periods. Last time was Criminal Minds xD

I don't really follow Leverage, but I have seen episodes of it. It's one of those shows that's on my 'to see completely' list. So, for the meme: Leverage!

HIII! :)
I'm not even going into what the fandom I'm discovering is this time. Too much shame, for real. :P

Leverage is stunning. Very happy-making, not stressfull, small friendly fandom. And the BEST characters and relationships.

The first character I fell in love with: Hardison and his sass
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Sophie kind of snuck up on me. It took me a long while to realise how much I love her - she isn't as funny or quirky as the others but she's AWESOME in her own way.
The character everyone else loves that I don't: I love them all, but I will say that I don't get the big deal about Christian Kane (Eliot) looks-wise. He's really not my type.
The character I love that everyone else hates: Like I said, small, nice fandom without too much hate. But I guess people tend to focus on Parker/Hardison/Eliot and forget about Sophie. Which she doesn't deserve.
The character I used to love but don't any longer: I said I love them all!! This is giving me the same problems I had with trying to do this meme for Parks & Recreation.
I guess I'm getting fed up with Nate's emo, but luckily not that much attention is spent on it and a lot is played for laughs so it's okay.
The character I would shag anytime: Hardison! Aldis Hodge is fiiiine. :P
The character I'd want to be like: Sophie again! Mainly I just want to be a cool and sophisticated like her :P. But being able to speak lots of languages and be a grifter would be kind of fun too!
The character I'd slap: Nate. Luckily, Sophie has that covered.
My five favorite characters: Parker, Hardison, Eliot, Sophie, Sterling
My five least favorite characters: Nate, the Italian (bad antagonist in the third season), Tara, and I don't think there are any other recurring characters I dislike? Let's just say every mark ever.
My deep dark fandom secret:I think I'm generally very open about my fandom feelings because I never find anything to say here. Maybe that I compulsively check the main writer's blog every few days? (he lets people ask questions after every new episodes and aswers them in a big post when he has time. Which hasn't happened since the start of the season but I KEEP CHECKING :P)
