Hi! Anyone still there? :P My internet has been fixed, finally. I left it broken because I hoped not having internet access might mean I'd be able to study better. That did not work.
I don't know if I'll be posting again this week - it's kind of a busy one - (but I'll be commenting!) so I'll already tell you I won't be here next week either because I am going to Mallorca. I have never actually done the kind of vacation before where you don't do anything but lie by a pool/the sea. I expect I'll get a lot of reading done, which is what I'm most looking forward tbh :P

Tv-wise, I don't actually have anything to say on Doctor Who. This week's episode was entirely forgettable and the one before that was everything that has been wrong with this season packed into 45 minutes.

I watched The Hour and I recommend it to everyone! It's very enjoyable and pretty. I didn't like the ~spy plot too much but the characters and actors were all perfect. I've also made myself a new default icon, which feels weird because I had Nina for such a long time, but I expect I'll get used to Bel :)

Some other reactions;
- I am halfway through A Feast for Crows but I didn't post my reaction to A Storm of Swords yet, and I had many reactions. So many they nearly gave me a heart attack. THAT BOOK IS NOT HEALTHY.

    * It just didn't STOP omg what was that :OO You have the Red Wedding and think that was the climax of the book and then there's the attack on the Wall (I loved Ygritte and Ygritte/Jon. Of course I did why can't anyone have anything nice in this world) and Joffrey dies and Littlefinger and Tyrion goes on a crazy murder spree and then you REALLY think it's over but oh no, THE EPILOGUE IS ACTUALLY THE WORST.
It's been weeks since I finished it but I'm still not over it tbh.

    * I always liked Jon but this one really sealed the deal - I think Ygritte made him much more interesting, and I can't wait to see what happens now he's Commander.

    * What is up with that R'Hollor? Legit creeped out by Melissandre and the walking dead people (all varieties).

    * I am not really sure who my favourite characters are anymore. I like almost everyone ('like' being used loosely here). Except Davos, but then I do like Stannis and Davos gives me Stannis so I can live with him. Oh, and Bran. What is he even doing here. The only thing I have ever liked about the Bran chapters was when they told that story which was really about Ned Stark and his brothers and sister, which was like one scene in three books, so.
But anyway, my absolute top favourite remains Sansa even though she doesn't have that many chapters. How stunning was that scene in the snow? Probably one of my favourite scenes in the series.

- I am currently watching the third season of Six Feet Under. I can't believe I resisted watching this show for so long :O I somehow always thought it'd be boring. I'M SORRY I UNDERESTIMATED YOU. On the other hand, I don't know if I'd appreciated it this much if I'd have watched it a few years ago when it was on tv.

    * Brenda is definitely my favourite, though I can't quite articulate why. I just love how fucked-up she is and idk, her storyline has been the most interesting to me. I also love her and Nate though mostly in a look-at-the-trainwreck way. But hey, that's one of my favourite tropes :P

    * Speaking of; omg Nate/Lisa is so disturbing. They have taken the typical family unit and made them all happy and sweet but the result is REALLY WRONG. Brenda, please come back to fuck Nate up again, kthanx. I am almost entirely unspoiled for the show but seeing how Rachel Griffiths is still in the credits I am assuming she will be ~back. I miss Brenda.

    * Nate is my least favourite and the one I most want to punch because he is such a Nice Guy. One of my favourite scenes in the season 2 finale was when Claire told him to stop giving people advice because he is so bad at doing the right thing himself :P

    * I love David, I love Claire, I love Ruth. David/Keith is obviously OTP and their current pain is my pain.

    * I really can't believe I never watched this show before. What is wrong with me. :/

Yeah, but it wouldn't be AsOIaF if people had lovely beautiful moments without someone coming along to ruin them :P.

Thank you! :)

Sometimes I really love Ruth and sometimes I don't as much. But Claire is very lovely and getting lovelier! I doubt anyone is going to surpass Brenda for me though, my attachment to her is getting ridiculous.

I adore The Hour! It's just so well-done.

Storm of Swords is definitely... intense. I remember being surprised at how much happened. I remember being vaguely warned about the Red Wedding so I was kind of prepared to that, but then so much happened after that! And haha, yeah, Bran and Davos's chapters are my least favorite. BUT YES, SANSA!!! She is my absolute favorite. That whole chapter with the scene in the snow and everything might be my favorite chapter of the entire series. So good.

Oh man, I need to finish Six Feet Under! I got halfway through season 4 last summer, and then I got interrupted in my marathon of it and never picked it up again. I was really liking it, but for some reason I've just never found the time to finish it. David/Keith is absolutely OTP.
