These past couple of weeks/months, I have discovered several new shows that I really like;

Being Human

Weird thing about this show is that when I first saw it, I loved it. I like the three main and most of the side characters, there are some really funny moments (
We're like the world's gayest ninjas!) and I wanted a lot more episodes. But about two weeks later, the episodes were on tv again, and when I recorded them to watch again, I caught myself fastforwarding through most of it.

The problem with this show is that I like it because of the fun parts, but those are apparently only now and then to lighten the mood. The emphasis of the show was really on the angst and the vampire revolution. Which was taken way too seriously for a show about a ghost, a vampire and a werewolf sharing a house.
Just that sentence calls for pure comedy, I think.

I do love the characters, though. George is so cute, especially with Nina, Mitchell...he's too emo really, but he's nice too look at when he's being all dark and brooding as well so okay:). I like Annie most, because of how much she's grown as a person by the end of the season. I think I could ship Annie/Mitchell if it works next season, but at the moment I'm not that involved.

I'll watch next season, but probably only once. I do hope they'll do more light stuff, but probably not.

Life on Mars S1

I NEED TO GET S2!
I ordered S1 to see if I liked it, and now I really want to see S2 but I don't have the money:(

Anyway, Not that much to say. There is one reason for the brilliance of this show and it is Philip Glenister as Gene Hunt. Yes, John Simm helps, but he's not what makes the show. Every scene Hunt is in is just guaranteed to be amazing.

I do feel as if fandom has rotted my brain because of all the Sam/Gene innuendo I keep seeing.

I'm even reasonably curious about how it'll end. Is he mad? In a coma? Travelled in time? :D

Leverage

I think I should say thank you to mrv3000 for posting so enthusiastically about this show, which made me want to see it.

It's just so much fun! No angsting for wholee episodes, no killing, no alien invasions, just pure heist-fun. These kind of shows and movies are my favourites.
I love all the characters, especially Eliot, Hardison and Parker. They are too funny. I think Hardison is my favourite, he cracks me up every scene he's in. I really have no complaints about this show. I hope they keep it just as it as for the upcoming season and a half. Well, I do hope Sophie comes back soon and Jeri Ryan isn't too annoying.

Honestly, I could keep watching this show. It's perfect for when I'm nervous or sick or anytime I just want to relax.

How I Met your Mother

Started watching it because everyone around me, on Lj and in RL seems to love it. I'm now halfway through S3. It's a lot more fun than I'd expected, especially for a sitcom.

I did think Ted/Robin went on for way too long, since I don't like them together at all. Ted is also boring and annoying, but apparently this is the general consensus. Barney, however is awesome and makes the show. He's so very funny, all the time :D I can't wait for the Barney/Robin part. I also love Robin (when she's not in love with Ted). And Marshall/Lily is just too adorable.

So I'll keep watching, it's definitely a lot of fun.
